Dr. Tenner is an Associate
Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York,
President of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal
Endoscopy, Governor of the American College of
Gastroenterology and serves as a community
gastroenterologist in South Brooklyn, New York. As
Medical Director of Sheepshead Bay Endoscopy and The
Greater New York Endoscopy Surgical Center, Dr. Tenner is
actively engaged in patient care and improving the health
of the community he serves.
Dr. Tenner is actively
involved in medical education on both a National and
International Level. Dr. Tenner is leads a team at
Maimonides Medical Center in Clinical Research, especially
focused on pancreatic disease. He widely speaks on
various topics in gastroenterology and is considered an
expert in acute pancreatitis. Having authored over 200
papers, chapters, texts and abstracts, Dr. Tenner has
contributed substantially to medical education.
Dedicated to patient care, Dr.
Tenner serves as Chair of the National Affairs Committee
for the American College of Gastroenterology and serves on
both the Research Committee for the ACG, as well as the
Public Policy Committee for the American Society for
Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Married with 5 children, an
avid guitar player, world traveler, fond of fine wine,
flowers and poetry, Dr. Tenner is committed to improving
the well being of his community.
